The apartment that started all of this

Three years ago, Mia moved into a 340-square-foot studio in a city she’d never lived in before — with a residential interior design qualification, a suitcase, a fold-up table, and almost no furniture that fit.

She spent the first two weeks on an air mattress, measured the room fourteen times, and drew floor plans on graph paper at the only flat surface she owned.

What she found is that small spaces aren’t a limitation. They’re a design challenge. A limitation is something you accept. A challenge is something you figure out.

Mia Nest Living is what came out of that figuring out — practical, rental-friendly ideas for people making real homes in small square footage.

Expertise

What you’ll learn from Mia

Every guide connects back to one question: how do you make a small space work properly — and still feel like home?

Space-saving furniture

Murphy beds, sofa beds, nesting tables, fold-down desks — what holds up, what folds cleanly, and what actually looks good day to day.

Studio & tiny apartments

Zoning a one-room home so sleep, work, and living don’t cancel each other out.

Small-space storage

Vertical storage, hidden storage, and renter-safe systems that look built-in, not improvised.

Everyday small living

Hosting, downsizing, and the daily habits that make a compact home feel calm instead of cramped.

“The apartment you are in right now is worth making work. The space you live in today shapes how you feel every time you come home.”
